Guideline Agent

Agent 01 - Guidelines

Know exactly which guideline applies, and why.

The Guideline Agent maps every patient to the most relevant sections of ACC/AHA and ESC guidelines returning the eligibility class, the exact citation, and the specific patient factors that triggered it.

  • Description APEX checks the ACC/AHA 2021 Coronary Revascularization Guidelines and the ESC 2018 Myocardial Revascularization Guidelines. Both are pinned to a specific version and audited against a fixed test set of curated cases — so the recommendation never drifts without a documented update.text goes here

  • The agent maps the patient's clinical profile diagnosis, comorbidities, EF, SYNTAX score, and acuity to the relevant guideline sections. It returns the eligibility class (I, IIa, IIb, or III), the specific recommendation text, and the exact section number so the clinician can verify the source directly. If a data field that could change the class is missing, the agent flags it before the heart team meets.

  • The Guideline Agent returns a structured report showing the recommended procedure (PCI, CABG, SAVR, or TAVR), the evidence class and level, the patient factors that triggered the recommendation, and any risk flags such as a prior stroke or incomplete frailty data — that the heart team should address before finalizing the plan. This report feeds directly into the Heart Team consensus brief.
